Kevin Meehan is recognised as one of Ireland’s top tin whistle players and composers of new Irish music, celebrated for his vibrant original compositions and unique ensemble sound. His albums Spanish Point and Solar Grove have received widespread airplay on RTÉ Radio 1, RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta, BBC Radio Ulster and BBC Raidio nan Gàidheal.

In November 2025 Kevin’s group Solar Grove performed their first abroad gig to a sold out venue, The Tamsta Club, for the Saules Muzika festival. Kevin has also toured the world extensively pefroming in Germany, Mexico, Lebanon, Zimbabwe, Cyprus, French Polynesia, Russia, The Netherlands, France, Belgium, England, Scotland, Finland, Denmark, Lithuania and Luxembourg.

Kevin has performed four times as part of the halftime entertainment at Croke Park with his bands Troda and Dockland Collective, and was recently invited to play for the Kerry football team following their 2025 All-Ireland win. Kevin’s four piece Irish folk group Liffey Crossing were invited to play for British & Irish Lions rugby team twice in January and June 2025 and Kevin’s new street performance group Rock The Shop were invited to play in Croke Park for the entire administration team of the NFL the day before the NFL game in September 2025.

He performs regularly around Dublin and offers tin whistle lessons both in person and online, welcoming students of all levels.
